"Additive Manufacturing: Materials – Processes – Heat Treatment"

Chairmen of the conference

Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Rainer Fechte-Heinen
Joachim Zettler

Additive manufacturing has now found its way into industrial practice in the automotive and aerospace industries as well as in medical technology and general mechanical engineering. In all of these industries, products and their properties are constantly being further developed in order to obtain lighter and more resource-efficient components. In addition to the advantages in terms of customisation and functionalisation, these fields of application place the highest demands on product reliability and safety. Additive manufacturing can already achieve much of this today, but there is still a great need for action in research and development, especially in the post-treatment and quality assurance of additively manufactured components.

The conference "Additive Manufacturing Materials - Processes - Heat Treatment" will present the latest research results from university institutions and from the practice of companies and offer an exchange platform for companies and research institutes.
The conference, organised by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Wärmebehandlung und Werkstofftechnik e. V. (AWT) will make an important contribution to the practical implementation of materials science and materials technology research results in the field of additive manufacturing.
Participation in the conference is worthwhile for everyone who wants to find out about the latest industrial developments and research results.

We look forward to welcoming you in Bremen!
